Ebba Hult is an award-winning cinematographer based in London, working across the UK and internationally. In 2021 she graduated from the National Film & Television School (NFTS) with an MA in cinematography, and her work has since gained recognition at Academy Award®, BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying festivals worldwide.

THE GOLDEN WEST – directed by Academy Award® and BAFTA-winners Tom Berkeley and Ross White, and starring Eileen Walsh and Aoife Duffin – won the Academy Award®-qualifying Jury Prize for ‘Best Short of the Festival’ at Raindance, ‘Best of Festival’ at Aesthetica, and ‘Best British Film’ at Norwich. For her work on the film, Ebba won ‘Best Cinematography’ at the 2023 British Short Film Awards, and was honoured with a nomination for ‘Best Cinematography in a Short Film’ by the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC).

The short drama BLUE NOTE – directed by Pavel Andonov and starring Alma Pöysti and David Kozma – won three golds at Academy Award®-qualifying Tampere Film Festival, and received the ‘Jury’s Special Mention’ at both Leeds International Film Festival and In the Palace International Film Festival.

Prior to being a cinematographer, Ebba had a career working in advertising, developing her eye for detail and visual storytelling at some of the world’s leading agencies including Wieden+Kennedy, AKQA, and B-Reel, with work awarded in prestigious shows like Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, Eurobest, and The One Show.

Ebba works across narrative fiction, fashion, beauty, art, documentary, commercials, and promos in both digital and film formats. Her client list includes Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Dior, Gucci, LOEWE, On Running, Tekla, and Vogue Magazine.

Ebba is a member of Illuminatrix Rising and Women Behind the Camera.
